SkyFeed hosts more than 91,000 community feeds from about 45,000 accounts. SkyFeed Pro (5 €/month) is an optional subscription that helps fund these feeds. You can support the service whether you create feeds or just use them. Pro also includes detailed stats and faster refreshes for feeds you publish.

You do not need Pro to keep creating or using feeds. Existing free features will remain free, and SkyFeed will never show ads. Subscribing does not require moving your feeds out of SkyFeed Classic (skyfeed.app).

Keeping SkyFeed running takes ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting and development as well as servers. It is built and run by one person and currently has no paid staff. These figures exclude that work and company overhead. Covering hosting is a first step, long-term sustainability also means being able to pay for that work.

How this is counted

Hosting costs and subscription income exclude VAT. Server prices are the providers' net prices. Monthly subscription income is estimated after processing fees and a 1% allowance for payout fees. The VAT on a subscription is collected and remitted by Creem, our payment provider, and is not SkyFeed's money in either direction. Amounts billed in US dollars are converted at 1.12 dollars per euro, the rate implied by Creem's own figures on the snapshot date.

GitHub sponsors have helped keep SkyFeed running. The August 2026 plan to keep GitHub Sponsors alongside Pro has changed: sponsorships are being wound down so future support goes through SkyFeed's company, Feedy UG (haftungsbeschränkt), rather than a personal account. The income above counts Pro subscriptions only. Sponsorships do not transfer automatically: if you switch to SkyFeed Pro, cancel your GitHub sponsorship on GitHub to avoid paying for both.
